I’m in Minneapolis right now for the Twins-Yankees game (yes, I know they aren’t doing very well, but I am a fan, no matter what) and other site seeing. For now, this gives me a lot of time to think about Otakon 2008, the convention of otaku generation version 15.0.  First, I’ll discuss the good things about Otakon, the bad and the really F&#$ed up. I’m out riding the rails, using my Wordpress App I got for my iPhone not long ago. Since typing on a small touchscreen can be tedious, I’ll keep this entry short. I’m little more than an hour away from Penn Station in NYC. From there, I will be taking another train to Penn Station In Baltimore. Yes, they are both named Penn Station and have no ideal why.

On the topic of Otakon, I’ve noticed a lot of twitter activity over the last few days. From nobodies to Anime collumists and bloggers, Otakon is being dicussed frequently. This will be my first time going to Otakon Twittering and blogging the event. I’m no Anime News Network or Japanator, I but hope to deliver my own brand of “coverage” in a fan freindly way.

My thumbs need a rest, so keep reading. For the small audience that is reading, thanks! I’m still building my blog rep and it will be a long time before I reach the peak.

It’s about 6:30 am and this is the earilest I have done a blog entry so far. Some of you con goers are already (!) in Baltimore ready to scope out that huge BCC that soon will be filled with otaku goodness and many of you are already in the process of traveling to the Inner Harbor by car, bus, train airplane or boat. What we all should be aware of is that we are united despite our differences in Anime/Manga/Gaming/Cosplay/whatever. I have been going to Otakon since 2005. While that doesn’t make me a expert in the subject (Some have been going to this event when it was barely 300 strong in a sleepy college town in PA!), I know a few things about the BCC and the con in general.
