Some panels may change to different time or cancel altogether. I’m not going to list every panel I’m going to, but I’m going to show you a selection of my “sure” picks.
Friday, August 8th
Otaku no Video 9AM (Panel 4) – I keep on missing this year after year. Yes, I haven’t seen it yet, so seeing it will make me a full flegded otaku.
Dubs that Time Forgot 11AM (Panel 1) – I wonder if hearing old school dubs will be either a wonderful or horrifying experience?
Opening Ceremonies 2PM (Panel 3) – The real reason to show up for this one is the premiere of the intro animation created by Madhouse. Conflicting with Funimation Q&A Panel which makes me kind of mad.
Lolita Fashion Show 5:30PM (Panel 3) – Get your mind out of the gutter. Were talkin’ Gothic Lolita, the really dressy stuff that all the girls at the con of late tend to wear. An opportunity to take lots of pics for me.
JAM Project Concert 7:30PM (1st Mariner Arena) – My friend keeps telling me how awesome this band is. I’m not really familiar with them, but I hope the do their rendition of the Lucky Star OP.
Bad, Anime, Bad! 9:30PM (Panel 2) – You HAVE TO GO TO THIS PANEL. I saw it at AnimeNEXT last year and it brought massive lulz out of the worst Anime ever produced. This is Mystery Science Theater 3000 bad, not “This popular Anime from a year ago is bad”. Go here at your own risk if you can’t handle the lulz that will be generated from this panel.
Welcome to Touhou 10PM (Panel 3) – I heard about Touhou, but I have no ideal what it’s all about. Finally, I’ll get a chance to understand why moot created /jp/ on 4chan.
Alcohol and Anime! 11PM (Panel 2, 18+) – Sounds like an interesting combo.
Saturday, August 9th
Anime is Serious Business 9:00AM (Panel 1) – Sounds serious. An industry panel.
Bang Zoom Entertainment 10:00AM (Panel 2) – I think this is the first time BZ is doing something like this at Otakon. They do a good job at dubbing and I can’t wait to hear what they have up their sleeve.
Bandai Panel 11:00AM (Panel 2) – My gut feeling tells me they will probably announce something BIG (like Code Geass last year) or maybe tease us or tell us crap we already know about. I’m sure you will also have people answering questions that shouldn’t be answered and a appearance of “THAT GUY” – a fanboy who should never be allowed to leave his basement on the account that he is so creepy and reeks of horrible body odor.
Building upon Crunchyroll 1PM (Workshop 1) – Let’s see what the new kid in town has in store.
Kadowaka Pictures USA Premieres Panel 2PM (Panel 2) – After Haruhi and Lucky Star, what is next?
The Girl Who Leapt Through Time 3PM (HD Theater) – A critically acclaimed movie in HD? Sign me up! I wonder if it is coming soon to Blu-Ray?
AMVs: In the Beginning… 5PM (Panel 3) – I have a budding interest in creating AMVs, and it will be interesting to hear sage advice from one of the original AMV creators. However, I might have to bolt for the…
Fansubber and Industry Discussion 5:30PM (Panel 4) – Fansubbers and Industry folks in the same panel? It’ more likely than you think. This 90 minute panel will feature folks from fansub groups Dattebayo, Live-Evil and Industry folks from Media Blasters and more. The aftermath will be discussed on online message boards for months to come.
Bandai Surprise 9PM (Panel 2) – ???
Dub Actors After Dark 11PM (Panel 4) – Thanks to the Otakon brass and lulz killers, there won’t be a 4chan Panel and this will be in it’s place. HOWEVER…a 4chan GATHERING will be held at 11:30pm on the 4th floor of the BCC. The lulz in Panel 4 may be gone, but not forgotten! (Update: Please note that this is meeting is not sanctioned by 4chan.org)
Sunday, August 10th
State of the Industry 10AM (Panel 4) – After throwing up from your hangover, check out and hear opinions on how horrible the Anime industry in America is now.
ADV announcements 1PM (Panel 1) – The company that is knocking on heaven’s door may still have it in them.

The Touhou panel is rescheduled for 6PM, I believe. This makes getting in line for the concert difficult, but it won't matter since all but one panelist is probably going to leave early to go to it.
